The closing ceremony of the Second "WHU-GEO CUP" National Smart City and Creative Design Contest of Postgraduates were successfully held in Wuhan University on August 29, 2015, marking the formal end of the four-month contest. The review team of the expert committee evaluated the scientificity, technicality, applicability and creativity of the entries and eventually 440 teams, 1418 participants, 9 advisors and 22 higher learning institutions were awarded.

146 teams competed fiercely in the two-day contest. And finally, six first prizes, 12 second prizes and 184 third prizes in the creative design contest were selected; five first prizes, five second prizes and 10 third prizes in the video analysis challenge were selected. Wuhan University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Northeastern University and other seven universities won the best defense award; Wang Wenmin from Peking University and Chen Zhenzhong from Wuhan University and other seven teachers won the excellent advisor award; Sichuan University and Wuhan University of Technology won the special enterprise award.
