In 2015, there were 22 municipal engineering design enterprises in Wuhan and 1917 employees at the end of reporting period, including 242 registered practitioners.

2. Business conditions

In 2015, the total contract amount completed of the municipal design industry was up to 1.05 billion yuan. And, the competed turnover of engineering design business was 749 million yuan, accounting for 70.73%; the completed turnover of the engineering investigation industry was 199 million yuan, accounting for 18.79%. In 2015, the amount of new contracts in the municipal industry of Wuhan was 1.064 billion yuan, and the amount of new engineering design contracts was 819 million yuan, accounting for 77.34%; the amount of new contracts in the engineering investigation industry was 155 million yuan, occupying 14.64%; the amount of other new contracts was distributed in the following fields of engineering management service (3.78%), overseas project (2.46%), EPC (0.94%) and project supervision (0.76%).

3. Operating conditions

The realized revenue from the municipal design industry of Wuhan was 2.545 billion yuan in 2015 and the average revenue of each enterprise was 159 million yuan. The main sources of revenue were from engineering design business and other business, and the total realized revenue from engineering design was 739 million yuan in 2015, accounting for 28.99%. The realized revenue from engineering investigation was 219 million yuan, including 20,471,000 yuan of the realized revenue from engineering management services, 464 million yuan of project construction revenue and 1.07 billion yuan of the realized revenue from other business. The total profit from the municipal design industry was 139 million yuan, the realized net profit was 108 million yuan and the profit and tax per capita was 87,000 yuan in 2015.
