“Wuhan city of design promotion center” (As ‘Promotion center’) is the working entity of Wuhan engineering design industry alliance, which is a non-enterprise organization with 46 member units. Among them there are many renowned design firms, 11 academicians of engineering, 39 survey and design masters, 10000 senior technical personnel and 10413 registered engineers, covering metallurgy,, chemistry, railway, electricity, bridges, hydro power, traffic and architecture.
 
Since its establishment with a special strength in engineering design, we work on imbedding human-centered design into the city development strategy, philosophy and value. We follow the UNESCO principle of government-enterprise collaboration in promoting the development of design industry and facilitate Wuhan’s bid for city of design. We advocate the use of design to benefit the society and public life quality. In the mean while, we provide service to our members.
 
Wuhan, as a centre city in Central China, regards sustainability as its goal. The fast growing design and creative industries and the robust design education in Wuhan have provided a strong support for urban transformation.

Main Functions
01 Facilitate the development the development of creative and design industry city-wide, and support Wuhan’s bid for UNESCO city of design.
02 Facilitate public service system construction related with Wuhan’s bid for UNESCO city of design.
03 Facilitate domestic and international communication and cooperation for Wuhan’s design industry.
04 Hold PR campaigns and branding events to facilitate Wuhan’s bid for UNESCO city of design and development of Wuhan’s design industry.
05 Carry out construction and operation of major protects related with Wuhan’s bid for UNESCO city of design.
