The National Research Center of Cultural Industries in Central China Normal University conscientiously performs its functions, carries out academic research and development strategy research of cultural industries, and trains senior talents in cultural industries, relying on the experts and scholars of relevant disciplines, with promoting combination of theoretical research and social practice, and promoting the development of relevant disciplines, interdisciplinary and scientific and technological innovation as the goal, and "basing on the central China, serving the whole country, building brand, and going international" as the development policy. It will strengthen the communication with government departments at all levels, strengthen cooperation with domestic and foreign cultural industry research entities and enterprises, and try to form the combination of production, learning and research among universities and government and cultural enterprises under new situation, and build a two-way communication platform of theoretical research, theoretical innovation and cultural work practice, and an integrated service platform of related disciplines in our university. It will strive to become a well-known research center of cultural industries, talent cultivation (training) center of cultural industries and consulting service center of cultural industries in China. The purpose is to lay a foundation for the establishment of research institute of cultural industries in our school.

"First-class research center of cultural industries"

The research center will rely on the research advantages of Central China Normal University in humanities and social sciences, economics and management, information technology and other aspects, and cooperate with first-class experts and scholars at home and abroad. On the basis of strengthening the advantages of existing studies (fields), it will strive to achieve a series of research results which have significant influence both at home and abroad on the basis of striving for major projects both at home and abroad through team work around major theoretical and practical issues of "innovation of cultural industries".

"First-class consulting service center of cultural industries"

The research center will adhere to the development policy of "basing on Hubei, serving the whole country, building brand, and going international". It will take the initiative to undertake projects and issues entrusted by national departments, and undertake issues related to the cultural industries. What’s more, it will improve the ability of empirical investigation and consulting services, so as to provide more targeted, applied and operational consulting reports for government departments at all levels, enterprises and all walks of life and better serve the society.

"First-class talent cultivation (training) center of cultural industries"

The research center has formed a one-stop (master—doctor--post doctor) and rational talent training system in science of culture, management science, information technology, education and other disciplines based on discipline advantages of Central China Normal University. It will increase the training of professionals in the cultural industries needed by the society in the future, and strive to cultivate more high-quality, complex, first-class talents of cultural industries, so as to meet the needs of contemporary society for high level talents in the cultural industries.
